Our Story

End of the Road

The time has come for me to lay down my scissors. I'm closing down on Christmas Eve for the final time after a 49-year career in the shop: a decent shift I feel, and time to spend my retirement taking photos and editing Shelsley's programmes and their MAC News magazine.

I want to thank you all for supporting me throughout the years. A lot of you have been with me for decades so we've been through a lot together. At times I've been your therapist not just the guy who cut your hair, and you've helped me through some tough times too. I've known many of you for so long that I regard you as friends as well as customers. Good luck to every one of you.
